Salary:
R15 000 CTC (R12 000 NETT salary)
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping and Financial Record Maintenance:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Trial Balance Preparation:
- Prepare trial balances from the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other reports.
- Identify, investigate, and rectify discrepancies in trial balances.
- Tax Administration:
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Handle correspondence and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and advise management on the impact.
- Prepare supporting documentation and reports for tax filings.
- Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant financial documents and explanations.
- Prepare audit schedules and provide requested information to auditors.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on financial status and variances to management.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Relevant Tertiary degree / diploma is required
- Proficiency in MS Office; Pastel
- Familiarity in Bookkeeping (up to trial balance) and tax administration (VAT; PAYE; Income Tax; Payroll; CGT)
- Ability to handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment
