Job Description for Insurance Administrator at Sydsen

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Administrator to join our team at Sydsen. As an Insurance Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing insurance policies, processing claims, and providing exceptional administrative support to ensure smooth operations within our insurance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Administration: Handle policy documentation, updates, renewals, and cancellations in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Claims Processing: Assist in the submission and tracking of insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate, and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries related to policies, premiums, and claims, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records of all policies, claims, and related information in our insurance system, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with insurance regulations and company policies, maintaining a high level of regulatory awareness and adherence.
  • Payment Processing: Assist with invoicing, premium collections, and payment reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports for management on claims status, policy updates, and customer queries, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • General Administration: Support the department with general administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and scheduling, maintaining a high level of organization and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in insurance administration or a related field is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of insurance regulations and industry standards.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with insurance software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a relevant qualification in insurance or administration being highly beneficial.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks, prioritizing deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
    • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
