Function:

To strengthen our production plant in Cape Town, we're recruiting a motivated

Plant Manager
You are responsible for the daily management of our production plant in Cape Town. You take care of an efficient and effective production organization.

The challenge is to ensure quality, safety, development of employees and to optimize processes, structures and working methods in a production environment where custom made appliances are manufactured.


The driving force behind an efficient and effective production organization?

  • You manage the different departments in production. Together with others, you guarantee a production environment where productivity objectives are met, bearing in mind the expectations of the client, quality and safety.
  • You create a culture where continuous improvement is encouraged. You manage projects, evaluate the implementation of new technologies and guarantee a safe work environment that complies with the safety standards.
  • Through teamwork and open communication, you manage and motivate the team leaders in production with their daily responsibilities. In partnership with HR, you follow the people policies and processes.
  • You ensure a good cooperation between production and the other departments, and you share experiences and knowledge with our other production sites.
  • We are on a digital transformation journey and in the process of implementing SAP. Your ERP skills will be valuable to guide your team on this journey.

Profile:

Are you an excellent people manager and communicator?

  • You have a university degree and you already have solid experience as a manager in a technical production environment.
  • You are a great people manager who can inspire and motivate your team to obtain excellent results. You follow up and adjust in a constructive way.
  • You are a fluent communicator who can introduce matters and make changes in a positive and open manner.
  • You are interested in, and motivated by, the continuous improvement of a wide range of processes. For this, you have a good knowledge of the LEAN manufacturing principles.
