A Luxury Hotel is seeking a Security Manager.

The Security Manager will properly execute security duties on the assigned shift, to protect the life, and property of customers, employees and, company property.

The Security Manager maintains continuous patrols of the Hotel to ensure the security as well as the safety of the customers and employees.

All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the company policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Reports to the Security Supervisor any violations acts, or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of the operation.
  • Assists patrons and employees and responds to critical situations (Medical emergencies, irate patrons, etc.).
  • Continually patrol buildings and grounds. Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Warns violators of rule infractions and expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
  • Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
  • Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. Sounds alarmed or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of similar experience in a hotel
  • Ability to speak, read and write in the English language
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
  • Must have the ability to interact with customers and employees effectively.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
