  • Ensures that the legal process is carried out i.e. 129, summons, judgements within the timelines
  • Check and ensure compliance with Section 129 of NCA, and Section if applicable
  • Draft Founding Affidavit in terms of the agreement
  • Draft Lost Document Affidavit (if original agreement is lost)
  • Draft Notice of Motion once all documents received
  • Follows up at court default judgements & court orders
  • Confirm Sheriff jurisdiction by domicilium address
  • Draft instruction to Sheriff
  • Follow up regarding service of Notice of Motion
  • Arrange collection of Sheriff's Return of Service
  • Draft Internal reports
  • Arrange and/or confirm settlement negotiations and/or payment arrangements
  • Draft and prepare Counsel's brief
  • Liaise with Counsel
  • Manages daytoday client interaction

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualification
  • Paralegal Diploma
  • Experience in the financial recoveries environment
  • Minimum three (3) years paralegal experience
  • Analytical skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem solving skills
  • Selfmotivated
  • Organized and detailoriented
  • Prioritize workload and meets deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure
