Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or BTech/advanced diploma in civil
engineering/mathematics/statistical methods or relevant scientific

field

  • Five (5) years relevant experience in traffic engineering, preferably
including the management of traffic signals

  • A valid Code B driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
Key Performance Areas

  • Plan, lead and direct the management of roadbased transport
network operations

  • Plan, lead and direct the configuration of traffic signal engineering
specifications

  • Plan, lead, control and organise the function of the active transport
network management support services

  • Ensure a well informed and motivated staff compliment committed
to Batho Pele and to achieving their work programme objectives

and carrying out their duties in compliance with all relevant national

legislation, including Council policies

  • Manage, administer and review projects in order to ensure that
governance and management of projects is in compliance and to

ensure project success by minimising project budget overruns and

lack of service delivery to Transport Planning and Network

Management.
