Baseline:

  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Engineering or related)
  • 10 years of experience in Process or Operations Safety related function in mining or O&G OR 10 years in O&G Operations
  • Experience in either Operations Safety OR Process Safety Management or in HSEQ related Assurance
  • Experience in HSEQ incident investigation and Risk Management
  • 5 years experience in Managing Others

Advantageous:

  • 10 years of experience in HSEQ related function OR O&G Operations

  • Formulate the strategy, implementation, governance and reporting of Engen Process Safety, Fire Safety, Operations Safety, Land Transport Safety, Contractor Management systems, guidelines, processes in line with Group HSEQ Technical Standards & Guidelines and Host Country requirements to ensure adherence & compliance
  • Provide strategic and tactical advice on Safety Culture, Human Factors and Non-Technical Skills (i.e. Unsafe Act Unsafe condition (UAUC), Visible Felt Leadership, Zero Tolerance, Stop Work Authority (SWA) to ensure safety in various depots is maintained for business sustainability
  • Monitor and analyze contractor performance, including safety and associated operations KPIs and ensure these are communicated
  • Manage competence in all aspects of Safety and Quality across the business to ensure execution of tasks in a safe way and the product quality is guaranteed
  • Manage relations with internal customers, service providers & external stakeholders by ensuring related SLA's are in place and adhered for business continuity
  • Forecast the annual budget requirements and manage the departments CAPEX and OPEX plan to meet the target plan
