Make it Good is excited to partner with this NGO, who specialise in upskilling underprivileged youth. They focus on addressing global social inequality through their learning ecosystem, incubating in-demand skills for digital, entrepreneurial, and green career paths. It collaborates with learners, funders, employers, and learning providers to identify talented young individuals, connect them with learning opportunities, and support their career growth and acceleration.

Role Overview
This is a project management role that requires various skills to match the vibrant energy of our client's community. You will handle projects across the community, including event management, facilitation, copywriting, and internal and external communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively produce quarterly newsletters for different audiences
  • Manage and engage with digital community groups
  • Organise and facilitate online and in-person engagements for community members
  • Connect with community members to create content and share stories
  • Oversee collaborations with community members to increase social capital (e.g., collaborate with an alumnus to host an event)
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain learners from underserved communities for our client's programmes
  • Represent our client at events and career days targeting potential learners
  • Host focus groups and conduct research to gauge the sentiment of various community groups (applicants, learners, etc.)
  • Collaborate with leadership to promote an inclusive and collaborative community culture
  • Track and report on community engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of initiatives
  • Manage communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and online forums

Experience Required

  • A minimum of 2 years in a project management role or similar
  • Experience in roles requiring research, analysis, and reporting is favourable
  • Experience in public-facing roles (e.g., events, hosting, Toastmasters) is favourable

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional professional and engaging communication with learners globally is essential. Strong people skills are crucial.
  • Organisation and Independence: Ability to take ownership and deliver without micromanagement. This role is not suited for those who prefer close supervision.
  • Energy: They need a structured, high-energy person. This is a creative and open role where you will have the freedom to innovate.
  • Tech-Savvy: Our client is fully remote and uses various digital tools. Proficiency with technology is advantageous.
  • Teamwork: Our client has a small, close-knit team. This role requires effective collaboration across teams, seniority levels, and borders, with frequent communication.
