A disruptive fintech platform created specifically to address the unique challenges hotels face processing payments which include limited payment method offering, high cross-border fees, high foreign exchange fees, and a lack of automation when processing ecommerce payments. Our client whose headquarters is in Dubai and has been working in travel technology for over 20 years.

Role Description

This is a full-time role based in Africa home working. As a Business Development Executive, providing Fintech Solutions for hotel chains and high-ticket value Leisure Attraction providers. The ideal candidate will have previous experience selling to the hotel industry. This position will report into the General Manager Africa, and will be responsible for contracting new business around the globe with a focus on the Africa and the Indian Ocean.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
    • Identify key market opportunities and define target hotel chains.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to adjust strategies accordingly.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to ensure a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.
    • Work closely with the customer success operational team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  3. Sales Process Optimization:
    • Streamline and optimize the sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
    • Implement and leverage sales technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Provide regular sales forecasting and pipeline management to senior leadership.
  4. Revenue Growth:
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals, driving the expansion of the company's presence in the fintech payments market.
    • Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction as agreed with General Manager Africa.
  5. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure that all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
    • Generate and present regular sales reports and performance metrics to the executive team.
  6. Market Expansion and Product Development:
    • Collaborate with product development teams to identify opportunities for new fintech payment solutions and enhancements.
    • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies to support product launches and market expansion efforts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience within fintech / banking or hospitality sales and have an existing database to work from
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing sales revenues
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Fluency in English.
