Job Summary:


As a Junior IT Support Employee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing top-notch technical assistance to our end-users.

You will be the first point of contact for any IT-related issues, demonstrating your problem-solving skills and passion for helping others.


Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems with precision, following systematic troubleshooting procedures to minimize downtime.

Ticket Management:

Maintain a comprehensive ticketing system to log, track, and document user requests and incidents, ensuring efficient and organized problem resolution.


System Maintenance:

Contribute to routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and backups, to ensure the stability and security of our IT infrastructure.


Network Support:
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and wireless network configurations.

Security Compliance:
Uphold IT security policies and best practices to safeguard our valuable data and protect against potential threats.

Hardware Inventory:
Assist in maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.

Documentation:

Create and update technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles to support end-users and fellow IT team members.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in English
  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate or equivalent.
  • Diploma or degree in an ITrelated field such as Computer Science, Information
Technology, or Information Systems.

  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or Microsoft
  • Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), and other relevant IT certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities, coupled with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware components and their functionalities.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting.
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging technologies and processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
