Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources / Behavioural Sciences or
related field

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience focussing on: policy
development and Remuneration and Benefits

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation in order to
formulate and develop remuneration and benefits related policies,

systems and procedures and guidelines

Key Performance Areas

  • Responsible for the formulation, development and implementation
of remuneration and benefits related policies, systems and

procedures and guidelines

  • Maintain and provide advice on policies, systems and procedures
and guidelines regarding matters pertaining to

Remuneration, Benefits and Conditions of Service

  • Establish effective methods to evaluate and monitor
policy compliance of remuneration and benefits related

policies, systems and procedures and guidelines

  • Implement processes relating to the communication and
systems and procedures and guidelines

  • Conduct research and benchmarking of best practices regarding
Remuneration, Benefits and Conditions of Service

  • Monitor, review and recommend changes to the
Conditions of Service where applicable

  • Review operational allowances and Local Conditions of Service
(LUCOS) Schedules in line with the South African Local

Government Bargaining Council ( SALGBC ) framework / Collective

Agreement

  • Carry out investigations and deal with grievances and
disputes relating to Remuneration, Benefits and

Conditions of Service related policies

  • Participate in the Supply Chain Management process to appoint
parties with regard to Request for Quotations

(RFQ's)/tenders/contracts.

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders
