Senior HR Practitioner

Job Duties/Responsibilities will include:
- Continually analyse and develop operating procedures that relates to IR, ER and HR A
- Advise on all matters that involve conflict between employees
- Manage grievances and grievance procedures timeously
- Assist in the development of HR, IR and ER labour protocols, operating procedures and handbooks.
- Monitor internal and external labour relations trends
- Ensure continuous revision, internal training and updates are provided on various IR and ER and recent case law
- Ensure that all staff members are aware of the IR and ER protocols and regulations, and that employees have access to the relevant handbooks when needed.
- Handle all disciplinary issues
- Ensure the wellness program for staff is clearly documented and that staff are aware and regularly updated of the resources available to them
- Work with the representative union and management in managing conflict between parties and employees
- Assist with the negotiations of collective bargaining agreements with the representative union and management
- Assist in the organization and induction of new staff on the code of conduct, HR and IR protocols and operating procedures during orientation
- Diploma in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
- A minimum of 5 years' prior experience in an industrial relations role.
- Four years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
- An understanding of and insight into the BCEA, LRA, OHS, EE, SDL and POPI acts
- Knowledge of regulations and compliance as it relates to Human resources and South African law
- IR and CCMA experience
- Experience working with unions
