A Medico-Legal firm in Pretoria is looking for an Admin Officer. Montana area, PRETORIA. Experience in the Medico-Legal field. ±R20000-R25000


We're looking for an experienced individual with a strong secretarial/clerical background, to provide administrative support to the Directors, Practice Manager and Consultants as well as the administrative function within the medico-legal department.

Creativity and marketing skills (knowledge of FaceBook, Linkedin, etc) will be an advantage. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.


Experience working in a medico-legal specialist environment is crucial as well as advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Additionally, you need to be a highly skilled organiser with great attention to detail.


The Admin Officer will support a team of Expert Consultants with all aspects of their caseload including but not limited to, case management, admin support, document formatting, taking/making calls, preparing documents along with scanning, printing, photocopying, assisting with marketing, scheduling and organising.


Key responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

  • Format and proofread reports prepared by Expert Consultants in preparation for submission to clients.
  • Schedule and manage medicolegal appointments (including necessary files, documents, invoices, etc.)
  • Take internal and external telephone queries, responding as appropriate and/or ensuring that all messages are managed and/or passed on in a timely manner
  • Enter, maintain and update client details and relevant information on the company's electronic system
  • Quality assurance of all correspondence
  • Monitoring Expert Consultants' calendars with regard to due dates as well as clients with regard to outstanding records.
  • Liaising with clients on a daily basis.
  • Arrange meetings, book conference rooms, and refreshments, check rooms prior to meetings etc and liaise with other attendees, both internal and external
  • Arrange travel & accommodation for Directors & Expert Consultants
  • Use effective systems to ensure that both short
- and long-term tasks are completed within required timescales.

  • Office Management: Compile, implement and maintain office procedures, procurement of office supplies, minutes of meetings, cleanliness of offices, maintenance on machinery, subscriptions and affiliations are up to date, etc
  • This role would suit an experienced Medico-Legal Admin Officer with strong organising skills, working under pressure, attention to detail and excellent customer service as well as working within a team.
  • This is a fulltime position Monday to Friday 8am until 5pm.
  • Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

  • Fully computer literate
  • Good understanding of the Medico-Legal field
  • Experience: 5 years+
  • Valid driver's license and own transport
