Accounts Payable Controller

Our client in the logistics sector currently has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Controller (reporting to the Financial Manager) who will work on an in-house system, but must have advanced Excel and any other accounting package experience.
The successful incumbent will have 5 years' account payable working experience and have strong time management and organizational skills.Position details:
Maintain and log invoices received in a shared Google Sheet
Match shipments to invoices and verify charges
Track / analyse vendor tariff for compliance regarding accessorial charges
Ensure all charges due by the vendor are recovered
Verify supporting documents in detail
Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
Address unbeknownst issues to appropriate departments
Manage and prepare weekly, bi-monthly and monthly vendor reconciliations payments
Address and respond to vendor inquiries
Improve account payable processes

Job Qualification & Experience:
5 years account payable working experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
High degree of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with other departments and, as well as independently and prioritize tasks
Strong analytical abilities
Problem solving skills
Ability to thrive under deadlines, drive results, multi task and work with sense of urgency
General math skills
