Account Payable Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our client based in the USA as a Remote Account Payable Specialist.

As an integral part of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable processes and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.


Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices received from vendors and ensure accurate coding and approval according to company policies and procedures.
  • Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and other supporting documentation.
  • Maintain vendor records and communicate with vendors regarding any discrepancies or issues.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with monthend closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement and receiving, to resolve any invoice or paymentrelated issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Generate reports and provide analysis on accounts payable activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven +3 years experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
  • Proficient in using QuickBooks for processing and managing accounts payable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a highvolume, fastpaced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a remote team.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
