As the Talent Acquisition Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the productivity, efficiency, and accuracy of talent acquisition operations in South Africa.
Your main focus will be on managing crew operations to meet financial and quality targets, particularly within the cruise industry.
Fluent English proficiency and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably within the cruise industry, are essential for this role.
Experience in Luxury Brands and knowledge of MLC (Maritime Labour Convention) and South African Labor laws would be advantageous.Skills and Experience Required:
- Fluent in English.
- 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably in the cruise industry.
- Previous experience in Luxury Brands, ideally with cruise lines or landbased properties.
- Good knowledge of MLC (Maritime Labour Convention) and South African Labor laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.
- Ability to build strong and trusting relationships, influence others, and drive results.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements, policies, and HR programs.
- Problemsolving skills and ability to develop and implement best practices to address complex issues.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
Crew Acquisition and Management Activities:
- Monitoring crewing and operational KPIs set by corporate departments and collaborating on improvement plans for service delivery.
- Implementing Talent Acquisition best practices and crew retention strategies.
- Keeping the Corporate Team and Crew Office informed about changes in the local recruitment and crewing teams.
- Assisting the Corporate team in formulating quarterly and yearly budgets, optimizing expenditures without compromising service delivery.
- Serving as a point of reference for all recruiting matters (local Recruiting Manager) and ensuring smooth process execution alongside a dedicated team.
- Generating and sharing monthly and quarterly reports on recruiting targets, completion rates, and challenges, along with proposing corrective actions as necessary.
- Requesting support from the Crew Development & Strategy Department for massive recruitment actions or recruitment events.
- Identifying initiatives to target specific luxury segments and implementing scouting initiatives at major luxury properties and schools/institutions in South Africa to support Journeys campaigns.
- Appointing a point of reference for all crew management matters (local Crew Manager) and ensuring smooth process execution with a dedicated team.
- Providing proactive support to the Crew Office organization.
- Addressing and fulfilling all requests from the Crew Office in a professional manner.
- Monitoring local employees' engagement with all crew members while they are at home waiting for their next assignment.
- Assisting all newly hired crew members with the preparation of required documentation.
- Ensuring timely fulfillment of all scheduling requests for returning and newly hired crew members by department and position to maintain on board manning requirements.
_This position requires a strategic and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in talent acquisition and management. As the Talent Acquisition Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of crew operations and supporting the overall objectives of the organization._
