Responsibilities and Duties:
As the Events and Functions Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and managing all events and functions hosted on our farm

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Coordination: Efficiently plan and coordinate events and functions, including corporate events, private gatherings, weddings, and other special occasions, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Venue Management: Oversee multiple outlets and facilities on the farm, ensuring they are prepared and wellmaintained for events. This includes coordination with various teams to ensure adequate resources and staff for each occasion.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle all administrative tasks related to event planning, such as contract management, budgeting, invoicing, and maintaining accurate records of each event.
  • Business Development: Proactively seek out and engage with potential clients and partners to attract new business opportunities. Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat bookings and referrals.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the event planning process, addressing client needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in event and function management, preferably in a similar setting such as hospitality, tourism, or event management.
  • Own Transport: You must have reliable transportation to commute to the farm as needed for events and functions.
  • Bilingual: Proficiency in both English and another language to cater to the diverse clientele we serve.
  • Event Management: Strong expertise in planning, coordinating, and executing events of various scales, ensuring attention to detail and flawless event delivery.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple events simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively and maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Administration: Proficiency in handling administrative tasks, including recordkeeping, budgeting, and contract management.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Certificate or formal training in event management or a related field.

Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time position, offering a competitive monthly salary.

You must either reside in Paarl, Western Cape, or be willing to relocate to the area before commencing employment.
