As a department head, directs and works with managers and employees to successfully execute all front office operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures.

Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximise the financial performance of the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all front office functions and staff
  • Direct and work with managers and employees to successfully execute all front office operations
  • Oversee switchboard operations, guest service/front desk, and ensure smooth guest arrival and departure procedures
  • Continually improve guest and employee satisfaction
  • Maximize the financial performance of the department
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the front office
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Monitor and analyze departmental financial performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Manage and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to staff
  • Hire, train, and develop front office staff to ensure high levels of performance and service
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL HOSPITALITY experience needed.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • IT experience
  • Previous experience in a management or front office capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team
