Key Purpose of the role

  • Address Discovery Employee Benefits Group Risk Billing Administration training needs that arise within the Group Risk Business; this would include product training and systems training.

These needs are addressed through the development of training material, facilitating training, coaching, support learners and assess for competency.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

Development and maintenance of training material

  • To develop training material using appropriate methodology to design and develop content in accordance with Education Training Development principles

Development of assessments

  • To develop assessments to measure cognitive gain and to ensure that assessments are relevant, unambiguous and adhere to assessment principles.

Facilitation of GR Product and Process related learning

  • To utilise a blended learning approach to bridge the gap between performance and learning.

Facilitation of soft skills

  • To develop and facilitate soft skills content and assess for competency. Special focus on Customer Service, Communication Skills, Business Writing and Time Management.

Coaching & Support of learners

  • To coach and support learners who are not performing at their full potential

IQS
To implement and maintain the IQS standards in Training.

Ad hoc Training

  • Facilitate any training need that arise in business including risk and compliance according to the legislation.

Education and Experience

  • Matric
  • Trainer the trainer, ETDP qualification would be advantageous
  • 2 Years Group Risk Experience or Employee Benefits industry (Advantageous)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Track record of strong communication skills (written, presentations, negotiations)
