Job Purpose

To generate; analyse and report reliable; meaningful financial and non-financial information to support the requirements and decision making of the business; in line with Nedbank's strategy.

Job Responsibilities

Provide key support to the Finance Executive: RBB Cost management and ensure accurate AJTP financial results at RBB Cluster level and across all its Segments and Product areas by reviewing AJTP model inputs, key assumptions (drivers and volumes) and resultant financial results.
Experience in building and maintaining transfer pricing models on the PAPM SAP tool;
Ensure that accurate, sensible and relevant AJTP costing models are maintained across RBB within the PaPM TP system.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that AJTP costing models are relevant and accurately representing the latest business practices ito their cost recovery methodology, volumes and unit rates.
Develop meaningful AJTP reports across RBB's Segments and Product areas by leveraging multiple AJTP source systems (incl BPC & PaPM) and Microsoft applications (incl PowerBI, PowerPoint and Excel) to provide key costing insights, financial and management reports to relevant stakeholders by adhering to quality standards regarding all information and schedules.
Provide meaningful recommendations, explanations and highlight areas of concern by analysing and interrogating financial information related to AJTP Expenses from various sources (incl BPC & PaPM) covering cost pool composition (comprising of direct operating expenses, Direct & Indirect AJTP) and related volume drivers and other information.
Ensure that accurate and timeous AJTP actuals & budgets are submitted and reviewed by ensuring it results from accurate, sensible and reliable AJTP Models that overall aligns with key stakeholder inputs, economic inputs and strategic initiative inputs.
Understand and meet stakeholders requirements for AJTP costing models through ongoing engagement to ensure that all costing models resulting in AJTP outputs are valid, sensible, reliable and accurate.
Ensure relevant, best practice analysis and reporting by providing ongoing support, guidance and coaching to the RBB AJTP team
Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced AJTP processes and AJTP models that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
Participate and assist in the achievement of group collaboration initiatives by identifying opportunities to create beneficial partnerships and synergies.
Meet deadlines and targets through prioritising effectively, planning and communicating.
Maintain high standards of analysis and reporting within defined timeframes by planning, organising and monitoring workflow.
Contribute to intellectual capital development by providing continuous motivation, mentoring, coaching and on the job skills training.
Achieve business objectives within a specific timeframes by scheduling and coordinating activities and identifying appropriate resources to perform these activities.
Manage defined risks in the finance function and risk categories at targeted levels by adhering to internal and external guidelines/policies/ procedures/business rules/ compliance and governance requirements.

Essential Qualifications
  • Professional Qualifications/Honour's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting

  • BCOM (Accounting)
Minimum Experience Level
  • 4 to 6 years in financial management preferably in the financial services industry with key AJTP PaPM costing model experience and knowledge.
