    Role Purpose
  • The purpose of this role is to assist in developing, maintaining and executing the best practice framework within FundsAtWork and Group Insurance (FAWGI) for technical marketing, to ensure the maintenance and sustainable growth of the FAWGI business within Momentum Corporate, through technical support to the Corporate Distribution channels, as well as close collaboration with the pricing and product development teams. The role will include strengthening and developing new relationships with our clients (intermediaries and employers), broadening the reach of our distribution footprint and improving engagement between product/pricing and distribution teams.

Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary or actuarial student with good progress with professional examinations.
  • 3+ years' relevant experience with sound understanding of employee benefits, group insurance product and pricing as well as basic investments knowledge.
  • Business experience with exposure to client facing environment.
  • Strategy development.
  • Business process automation skills will be an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

INTERNAL PROCESS & CLIENT

  • Provide insurance product and pricing expertise, to clients and stakeholders by supporting the Momentum Corporate Distribution channels.
  • Technical pricing assistance, guidance and signoff for FAWGI pricing (insurance, administration, and investment fees) within the authorisation matrix.
  • Collaboration and maintenance of the marketing strategy with the marketing team for FAWGI.
  • Assist the tender management in the completion of Request for Proposals for new business.
  • Contribute to product development and management through providing inputs from own expertise, as well as client and stakeholder feedback.
  • Achieving the overall financial objectives of FAWGI.
  • Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking and benchmarking and representation on related forums.
  • Representation, training, and attendance of advisory body meetings of large participating employers on FAW and provide feedback.
  • Oversee development of tools and calculators for clients to demonstrate the value of our solutions.
  • Assist in developing and implement strategies to increase transformation and number of supporting brokers within FAWGI.
  • Provide competitor analysis and comparisons of products in the market.
  • Build and deliver presentations required for launching, training and new business to internal stakeholders, intermediaries, clients, and media.
  • Assist the FAW Investments and Momentum Investments team with presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage off strategic relationships and alliances to build new channel, distribution, or growth opportunities in partnership with key stakeholders and product owners as well as peers.
  • Assist to craft, implement and monitor service practices that meet business needs whilst simultaneously supporting the broker channels to grow their client base.
  • Track and address product development related complaints and identify trends and major issues to be addressed.
  • Drive research and monitoring of the industry, legislation and regulation, target market, technologies, and competitors, including a SWOT analysis, to identify opportunities for new and innovative products.
  • Contribute to crossselling and collaboration opportunities across the value chain and various businesses.
  • Develop, plan, implement and take joint accountability for the strategy of technical marketing and research, partnering with other product and pricing teams as well as distribution, in response to the Momentum Corporate strategy.
  • Assist in reviewing and comparing competitor strategies, to inform product and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with other teams (including the actuarial team, quotes, rate review teams, client services, disability management, marketing, digital client experience, IT and legal) to ensure that new products are financially viable, solutionorientated and fit for purpose to clients and markets.
  • Contribute to crossselling and collaboration opportunities through appropriate partnerships and relationship building.
