JOB PURPOSE:


Responsible for overseeing daily operations in the sales department; Achieving set revenue targets and market growth within designated market; Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events; Making technical presentations and demonstrations to the company's customers and develop a Sales Pipeline, manage it and report on a regular basis.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business development and growth
  • Ensure to maintain, develop and grow existing and new relationships with all Key Accounts
  • Ensure market share data is analysed & where performance are down, action plans to be implemented
  • Responsible and accountable for business development through growth (sales), profitability and client retention
  • Ensure consistent calling & servicing all Key Accounts
  • Ensure implementation of the company's sales trading policies, pricing and marketing strategies at Key Account level
  • Ensure the monthly expenses are & stay within the allowed expense budget
  • Ensure that the Sales Team's monthly expenses are in on time & as per standard
  • Ensure all other expenses, i.e. Travel, Promotional, Pricing, etc are kept within the expense budget parameters
  • Ensure that the Sales Team keep their Daily call feedback up to date on the Repsley system
  • Ensure the correct classification & segmentation of all customers according to data reports
  • Ensure average call rate is consistently achieved by Sales Team
  • Ensure that customer call ratings are maintained & updated on a regular basis by sales team
  • Achievement of budgetary revenue
  • Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns
  • Plan and direct the hiring and training of new Sales team members
  • Direct and coordinate all sales activities
  • Prepare sales budgets and projections and approve expenditures
  • Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding a product or service
  • Set discount rates and determine price schedules
  • Serve as the face of the organization to internal and external partners
  • Make datainformed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients
  • Set sales quotas and goals
  • Oversee and directing performance of the sales team
  • Identify emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
  • Define and execute territory sales plans
  • Perform adhoc duties as requested by management from time to time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualification in Sales or equivalent is essential
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Sales is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B environment with working experience within a retail or wholesale channel
  • Proven extensive experience in Sales Management & Sales, preferably horticulture experience
  • Proven extensive experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Knowledge of CRM software and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problemsolving attitude
  • Proven ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
