ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
Provides support to the Front Office Manager in the daily running of the front office operations.

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:

  • Grade 1
  • Post matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous.
years' experience in a 5-star hotel or similar environment

  • Computer literacy
  • Opera Cloud Knowledge
  • Previous leadership role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Ability to plan.
  • Ability to train and develop a team.
  • Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic.
  • Must be a team player, with a positive attitude.
  • Must be willing to work shifts.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Own transport preferable

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Supervise Front of House areas to the standards laid down by the Company,
  • Ensuring that all duties and responsibilities carried out in Front Office are in line with the Front Office SOP is always adhered to,
  • Ensuring that checkin procedures are strictly adhered to,
  • Ensuring effective liaison between reservations and front office staff,
  • Ensuring that all charges are correctly entered on the guest's bill and that this is always up to date,
  • To carry out or ensure that regular OntheJob training is taking place to agreed standards,
  • To act as Duty Manager when required,
  • Ensuring accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work,
  • To monitor trends within the industry and make suggestions how these could be implemented,
  • Train, supervise and support office staff, including receptionists and duty managers,
  • Schedule shifts,
  • Ensure timely and accurate guest service,
  • Ensuring the front desk provides a professional and friendly service for guests,
  • Dealing with guests, including handling complaints when they come to the desk,
  • Troubleshooting emergencies, and
  • Liaising with other departments
