We are seeking for a meticulous and detailed-orientated PSP reconciliation administrator to join our payments department. The PSP administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate reconciliation of financial transaction between Banxso and various 3rd party payment service providers.  

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of payment systems, financial operations, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transaction Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of financial transactions processed through service providers.
  • Reconciliation of PSP transactions: compare transaction records from PSPs with bank statements, CRM and PSP transactions to identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • Liasing with PSP’s: to investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse transaction data to identify trends, patterns and anomalies that may require further investigation.
  • Reporting: develop and maintain reports to track reconciliation activities and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments to gather necessary information to resolve reconciliation discrepancies. 
  • Process Improvement: develop department workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement enhancement to reconciliation procedures and systems.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, monitoring potential fraudulent transactions and internal controls related to financial transactions and reconciliation processes and escalate concerns to management.

Requirements

  • Matric with 2 years + proven experience in reconciliation administration preferably in the Fintech Industry
  • Familiarity with payment systems, banking procedures, and financial regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Logical and data driven.
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel
