THE OPPORTUNITY 

IIE Varsity College Pretoria campus is seeking appointees in the field of  Political Studies to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the  Faculty of Management Studies.

JOB PURPOSE  

The primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.

  • Time management

  Minimum Education Requirements per module:

A completed degree in the following specialisations:

  • A Bachelor of Arts Honours or Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Political Studies.

 Alternatively: 

Postgraduate Diploma, Masters (MA/ MPhil) or Doctorate (PhD/ DPhil) in Political Studies.

  • A master’s degree in one of the Applied Humanities or Commerce fields with Strategic Innovation, Business Innovation, Innovation Management, Sustainable Business Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Development Economics, Applied Development Economics, Community Development, Grassroots Innovation, Sociology, Social Development, Social Entrepreneurship, or Social Innovation in undergraduate studies up to third year degree level.

 Alternative:

A relevant NQF 8 qualification in one of the Applied Humanities or Commerce fields with similar innovation or development economics related modules in undergraduate studies up to third year degree level.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

It would be preferable if the following additional competencies are fulfilled:

  • Industry experience in Political Studies
  • Lecturing experience
