The Sales Engineer will work within a dynamic environment to identify client needs, provide tailored solutions, and help close sales to meet and exceed targets. Responsibilities:

  • Enhance Service Quality and Client Relationships: Drive business growth and customer satisfaction by fostering relationships with clients through effective communication, ethical sales practices, and prompt quotations.
  • Data Management: Record, analyze, report, and manage information in line with CRM requirements.
  • Client Visits: Conduct regular client visits essential for business development and understanding client needs.
  • Technical Knowledge: Interpret technical drawings and product specifications to ensure accurate responses to client queries.
  • Sales Coordination: Manage all aspects of the sales process, from handling inquiries and tenders to generating quotations and processing orders.
  • Customer Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, offering support throughout the sales and delivery process.
  • Product & Order Updates: Keep clients informed on product information, updates, and order progress.
  • Training & Assistance: Provide necessary support and training on pump and valve operations as required.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer issues, offering solutions and guidance as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with consultants, project teams, and end-users to ensure project success.
  • Supplier Interaction: Obtain quotations from suppliers to support pricing strategies.
  • Order Tracking: Ensure efficient tracking and expedition of orders through the system.
  • Customer Communication: Keep customers updated on order status and progress when requested.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and facilitate kickoff meetings with the team and attend project-related meetings.
  • Documentation Management: Collect and distribute all relevant project documentation as required.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with health and safety regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned and assist team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Matric; tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (N4 to N5 level or higher) or Trade-Tested Artisan certification (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar sales role, with familiarity in mining and industrial sectors.
  • Skills: Proficiency in SAP ERP 6.0; comprehensive knowledge of pump systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
