Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand their market share and enhance their brand presence into Africa.

  • Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients, including government agencies, private sector companies, and renewable energy projects into Africa

  • Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to prepare and present comprehensive proposals and solutions tailored to client needs.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business growth.

  • Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to establish and maintain a robust professional network.

  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring that all terms are favourable to the company and aligned with their strategic goals.

  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and forecasts to senior management.

  • Willingness to travel extensively into Africa 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, piping, renewable energy, or related industries. (as mentioned above)

  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities.

  • Strong understanding of the electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, piping, renewable energy, and power infrastructure sectors.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the region.

  • A professional network within the industry is highly desirable. (Africa)
