Hello…an exciting new opportunity has just become available in our Hollard International, Risk and Compliance area. We are looking to recruit an Intern: Legal and Compliance.

The Legal and Compliance Intern is an individual who primarily supports the HINT business unit functions with managing legal and compliance risk and internal controls. In the interest of diversifying the exposure, the intern also provides research and ad hoc administrative support to the HINT subsidiaries in Botswana, Lesotho, Ghana, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia. Amongst other qualities, the individual should be a self-starter, dynamic, hardworking, deadline driven, flexible, innovative, a team player and eager to learn.

Customers:

HINT business unit teams

HINT subsidiary compliance team

Assist HINT business unit teams with the:

Collation of information required to draft contracts and procurement onboarding due diligence documents

Review of  draft contracts to ensure that the contracts entered into by HINT are effectively drafted, reviewed, interpreted, and vetted

Drafting of HINT policies

Review  of policy documents as requested by HINT subsidiaries

Provision of  support required for reporting on legal and compliance risks of the business unit through Financial Risk and Compliance Committee (FRCC) and other forums

Retention of contracts for HINT and upload on the contract management system

Provision of document management and retention administrative support to other business unit functions

Research and analyses the implications of case law, legislation and regulatory matters that impact  HINT

Research on potential current or future legal risks and keep track of applicable regulatory changes and record them

Periodic review and update the HINT compliance universe, risk management plan and monitoring plan
