Mindworx Academy is an innovative online digital skills training academy dedicated to empowering individuals with the skills needed to thrive in today’s digital world. As we transition from virtual instructor-led training to a blended learning model, we are seeking a highly skilled Learning Designer Consultant to join our team on a freelance basis. This role will be pivotal in designing engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences for our diverse student base.

The Learning Designer Consultant will work closely with our product and programmes team to design, develop, and implement blended learning solutions. This includes creating a mix of online self-paced content, interactive activities, and instructor-led sessions that ensure a seamless and enriching learning experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Learning Designer, Instructional Designer, or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing and developing digital learning content.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
  • Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas).
  • Familiarity with multimedia production tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond).
  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Utilise agile project management methodologies to design, develop, and deliver high-quality learning experiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Design and develop engaging and interactive learning content, including e-learning modules, videos, quizzes, and other digital learning materials.
  • Integrate various instructional methods and technologies to create a blended learning environment.
  • Develop detailed course outlines, storyboards, and prototypes for new courses.
  • Utilise learning management systems (LMS) to organise and deliver content.
  • Apply best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles to create effective learning experiences.
  • Evaluate and revise content based on feedback and performance data.
  • Ensure all content is accessible and inclusive for a diverse student population.
  • Provide guidance and support to instructors transitioning to the blended learning model.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in e-learning and instructional design.
