Job Summary


Design and develop fit for purpose learning content to deliver on Absa Group capability requirements and aligned to the learning experience framework.


Job Description:

Understand business requirements to effectively deliver appropriate solutions aligned to organisational and business strategy.

  • Consult with business and learning stakeholders on instructional design approach, learning objectives and required outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with crossfunctional stakeholders in the development of learning materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices.
  • Design and develop learning materials in a variety of formats including digital, print, graphics, audio, video and multimedia to support facilitation, and learner information needs to create an enhanced learner experience.
  • Conduct facilitator upskilling/briefing sessions where relevant.
  • Project manage the endtoend design and development process in terms of timelines, resources, admin, risks and issues.
  • Be a trusted advisor to business and learning partners on instructional software and effective uses of multimedia in the design and development of learning content.
  • Research and make recommendations on learning best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support the learning experience and create a more efficient and effective learning function (see two bullets down).
  • Drive continuous improvement in learning solution and content design and development.
  • Continuously benchmark learning solutions and maintain high quality standards through research and updated knowledge and skills.
  • Design and implement evaluation criteria for successful implementation of the learning solutions with clear objectives and successful performance metrics
  • Monitor and report on learning projects.
  • Actively participate in greater Learning Solutions team projects.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Education, Instructional Design or Training and Development (NQF7)
Work Experience

  • Five years' experience in a learning and development environment.
  • Minimum of three years of instructional design experience.
