Assistant Financial Manager

The main purpose of the role is to support sound financial decision-making by ensuring that the organisation has accurate, timely and reliable financial information. Furthermore, this role exists to strengthen financial governance, contribute to long-term stability and provide meaningful insights that guide strategic and operational planning. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly management reports Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations Oversee and reconcile bank statements, credit card payments and petty cash Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth Support the annual audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards Provide financial guidance and support to department heads and managers Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining financial policies and procedures Perform regular financial analysis to identify variances and make strategic recommendations Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and procedures Assist in preparing financial forecasts, budget, investment analysis and cash-flow management Collaborate with external partners, such as suppliers and auditors to maintain strong working relationships Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field Min of two years' experience in a similar financial role within the hospitality industry Must currently be in a similar role within the hospitality industry Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices Proficiency in financial software, such as Excel and other MS Office applications Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independantly and as part of a team Exceptional organisational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships Ability to work in a fast-pace and deadline driven environment  Â
