We're partnering with a well-established insurance and financial services group seeking a Finance Manager ideally a CA(SA) with about two years' post-articles experience to join their Cape Town head office. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key role within a stable, well-structured business that values professional growth, innovation, and continuous improvement across its finance function. What you will be doing: Oversee financial management of the finance division and guide a team of accountants. Review monthly accounting processing, reconciliations, and management reporting. Manage cashflow, investments, and approval of payments and collections. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of control accounts, balance sheets, and income statements. Handle VAT and income tax calculations and submissions. Prepare statutory and regulatory returns (FSCA, Prudential Authority, Reserve Bank, SARS, NAMFISA). Compile annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Liaise with internal and external auditors and resolve outstanding reconciling items. Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and internal controls. What we are looking for: Qualified CA(SA) with 2+ years post-articles experience. Exposure to the financial services or short-term insurance industry highly advantageous. Strong analytical, numerical, and time management skills. Confident communicator and collaborative team player. Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Great Plains, SAP, or Accpac beneficial.
