JOB DESCRIPTION

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience Required for this Position:

Own laptop and Transport with working phone.

· Grade 12 or relevant NQF qualification

· Sport management or similar qualification

· Computer literacy – must be proficient in Microsoft office

· Minimum of 2-3 years management experience (Sport management preferable)

· Minimum 2 years' experience in the gym environment

· Valid first aid and CPR certification certificates at all times during employment

· Valid personal training qualification added benefit but not compulsory

· Beneficial: additional exercise/fitness qualifications

. Must have your own transport

Proficiency:

· Sound interpersonal skills

· Sound organizational skills

· Good written & spoken communication skills

· Must be able to communicate in English/Afrikaans/Vernacular language where applicable

· Have initiative

· Must be willing to go the extra mile

· Excellent knowledge of company health and safety regulations

· Excellent industry knowledge

· Must be customer service orientated

· Management and Leadership skills

· Time management skills

· Good knowledge of company products and the services offered

General description of the job:

· Daily management and coordination of gym activities.

· Management of gym team and facility.

. Accountable for the efficient running of the centre.

· Daily completion of all centre administration tasks

· Coordination and setup of centre events and promotions.

· Gym orientation, member assessments and program prescription.

· Ensure centre is in line with head office and corporate client strategies such as event & promotions

· Performance of maintenance checks, preventative maintenance and arranging services

· Required to have weekly meetings with your team members to ensure successful delivery of all services.

· Required to set up weekly training to ensure all targets are met.

· Required to give daily group training classes.
