Junior Product Manager

Is responsible for the product performance reporting and analysis, generating insights from reports, preparation of product reporting packs for various stakeholders and competitor analysis on product propositions.

Product Insights and Reporting
Contribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates. Lead execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations. Engage with key stakeholders to identify key metrics and associated reports which need to be provided on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Engage with various business areas to implement identified reports. Ensure reports and data is analysed and key insights surfaced to stakeholders. Careful monitoring of all “live” report data to ensure management are alerted timeously to issues. A detailed pack of product performance against all business case targets along with insights and solutions to be prepared for various stakeholders. Ensuring all reports are accurate and metrics aligned to targets.
Product Management
Scope, implement and update a detailed Competitor Review into propositions and products. Assist with the research and benchmarking components, including SWOT and GAP analysis into proposed products and propositions vs. Competitors
Product & Solution Development
Support and carry out a range of product development activities and amend as necessary with guidance from senior colleagues. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products.
Research
Engage in desktop research as well as qualitative and quantitative research requirements as deemed necessary by the product team.
Budgeting & Costing
Carry out simple tasks as part of the budgeting process.
Supplier management
Manage the processing of checking, sourcing approval and submitting Product Invoices to finance to ensure timeous payment. Engage with Procurement Team to ensure all vendor forms have been loaded with a view to expedite payment

**Requirements**:
General Education
A relevant 3 year Business degree (Essential);
Honours Qualification in a relevant Business Degree (Advantageous)
General Experience
1 to 2 years’ work experience within a product management and product development team (Essential);
Previous experience within product development, Short Term Insurance and in the Financial Services Industry (Advantageous)
