Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa CV Full time R90 000 - R120 000 per year

Who We Are
CV (Christian Vision) is a global organisation that exists to introduce people to Jesus and encourage them to become his true followers. Evangelism is at the heart of all we do at CV, bringing the gospel to people around the world in both physical and digital realms.

One of CV's key initiatives is yesHEis, a global activation platform designed to equip Christians with the confidence and practical tools to share their faith. The platform delivers evangelism tools, training, and inspiration through mobile content, community, and learning experiences - empowering everyday believers to live missionally.

yesHEis is led by a global team distributed across various countries, focused on content creation, technology, marketing, localisation, and church engagement. The initiative is core to CV's Activation strategy and exists to be widely adopted by individual Christians and churches around the world.

Job Overview
Reporting directly to the yesHEis Operations manager, the Data Analyst is responsible for transforming operational and digital engagement data into actionable insights that enhance process efficiency, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.

Working across platforms such as Google Analytics, Sprinklr, and internal systems, the Data Analyst will provide timely reporting and analysis to support teams in content, marketing, app development, and user engagement. This role is key to ensuring data integrity, building user-friendly dashboards, and helping drive a culture of insight-led decision-making across yesHEis and the wider CV network.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting tools and systems.
  • Build and manage dashboards to visualise KPIs and operational performance.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports to support leadership, content, and engagement teams.
  • Interpret user behaviour and performance trends to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, product, and tech teams to identify data needs and deliver insight-based recommendations.
  • Provide strategic input on campaign performance, content effectiveness, and user journey analysis.
  • Support forecasting and strategic planning efforts with historical data analysis.
  • Research and apply AI tools and emerging analytics platforms to increase the scope and depth of insight generation.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven processes and best practices across the organisation.

General Responsibilities
Fulfil all duties outlined above for this specific role, and as directed below for all team members within CV. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Being open to opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.
  • Proactively maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Adhering to all regulations and CV policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Attending required staff and team meetings.
  • Undertaking professional development as required.
  • Keeping the affairs of CV and its employees confidential.
  • Maintaining a high level of interpersonal communication.

Skills/ Experience/ Education

  • 3–5 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or digital analytics, preferably within digital media, technology, or non-profit environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications or certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, SQL, or Python) are an advantage.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations that influence decision-making.
  • Proficiency in analytics and visualisation tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau, and advanced use of spreadsheets or SQL for data manipulation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings in accessible, story-driven formats for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of data accuracy, validation, and quality assurance.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, content, and product teams to identify KPIs, optimise performance, and measure outcomes.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics and emerging data technologies is desirable.
  • Experience in a mission-driven or faith-based organisation and an understanding of evangelism or digital ministry models is highly regarded.
