Duties:

  • Collaborate with auditors and business stakeholders to understand audit objectives and translate them into effective data analysis procedures
  • Design and implement analytics to identify risk areas, control gaps, and emerging trends
  • Evaluate business and audit processes through data-driven assessments to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Develop visual dashboards and reports that effectively communicate insights to non-technical audiences
  • Support the implementation of continuous auditing frameworks using data analytics
  • Prepare documentation, working papers, and reports to support audit findings and analytical outcomes
  • Ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency in all data analytics work
  • Contribute to the development of frameworks, policies, and methodologies guiding data analytics in Internal Audit

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Certifications from AWS, Azure, or CompTIA

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of data analytics experience within a digital, technology, or eCommerce environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, Python, and Alteryx (e.g., SSIS, SSRS)
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Knowledge of data privacy, data integrity, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR)
  • Sound understanding of auditing principles and methodologies

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt effectively in a fast-changing environment.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and resilience
  • Ability to simplify complex data insights
  • Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
