Pay: R 30,000 /month

Summary

We are seeking a fully remote, staff accountant to join our expanding accounting team, where you'd be supporting a wide range of small businesses with their accounting and finance needs.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage customer invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Execute collections efforts.
  • Responsible for vendor invoicing and payment processing.
  • Execute all components of the accounts payable functions.
  • Facilitate month-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with drafting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Administer payroll processing and related activities.
  • Serve as a liaison for tax-related matters and compliance.
  • Manage financial platform integrations for streamlined operations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a similar/equivalent  position.
  • Access to a computer, webcam, reliable internet connection and a private, quiet space for video conference calls.  We require a minimum Ookla speed test of 60 upload and 30 download.
  • Ability to commit to a 40 hour work week.
  • Experience with working with multiple clients simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAIPA or SAICA articles
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Advanced knowledge in G Suite, Excel
