ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Medical Aid Billing Clerk's responsibility is to support dialysis centres to submit dialysis treatment claims, remittance allocations, patient authorization, claim rejection follow up with medical aids.

RESPONSIBILIITIES:


• Capture and process chronic and acute patient billing information accurately.


• Submit information accurately with supporting documentation, monitor, and follow up on medical aid claims.


• Comply with all legal requirements regarding billing procedures and practices.


• Monitor compliance and conduct audits to ensure compliance with legal and funder requirements.


• Investigate and resolve claim discrepancies with medial aids.


• Assess, analyse and address queries related to rejection reports through escalation protocols.


• Follow up non-payments with medical aids timeously


• Support internal stakeholders to understand billing compliance process and required documentation.


• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and finance departments to identify process gaps and suggest process improvements.

EQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


• National Senior Certificate (Matric)


• Adequate medical billing experience


• POPIA training certificate
