Your day at NTT DATA The Senior Financial Accountant is a highly skilled expert in financial reporting and accounting operations.  This role involves preparing complex financial statements, managing journal entries, executing month-end close activities, and performing detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
The core objective is to analyze and report on costs, productivity, profit margins, while providing strategic financial recommendations.  The role may also include budget preparation and management to support informed decision-making. Key responsibilities:

• Finance business partner to executive business area.
• Accountable for financial reporting of actuals and forecasting processes.
• Responsible for analyzing journals, producing data analysis and reports and assists with variance analysis.
• Responsible for the assembly of monthly management reports
• As a partner in the accounting process, recommends how to improve efficiency using automation.
• Analyzes past performance financial data and prepares budgets and forecasts for business unit management.
• Implements effective financial controls, including systems reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures.
• Plans month-end activities which includes the preparation and processing of month-end journal entries and executing a variety of actions in the accounting system.
• Performs any other relevant task as requested by management.

• Knowledge and prior exposure to international entities, foreign currency and inter-company transactions.
• Advanced knowledge tax legislative requirements locally, and in international jurisdictions.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance or related field.

Required experience:

• Advanced experience gained in similar role preferably within a similar global organization.
• Advanced financial accounting experience.
• Advanced experience working on financial systems / software.
