Senior Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive accounting services to our clients, ensuring their financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide support for external audits and tax filings, working closely with auditors and tax professionals.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique accounting needs and provide tailored solutions and recommendations.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • 5 years experience with QuickBooks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Experience in an outsourced accounting firm or a similar environment is highly desirable.
