The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting functions within a banking institution, ensuring compliance with IFRS 9 standards. The ideal candidate will possess a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) qualification and have experience working within the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements are prepared in compliance with IFRS 9 standards
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial reports and analysis
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Stay current on changes to IFRS 9 standards and ensure the organization is in compliance
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support as needed

Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (South Africa) qualification
