Head of Business Development

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and profitability in the solar energy and storage sector
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand our presence in Cape Town
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and potential clients
- Lead a team of business development professionals to achieve targets and objectives
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and results to senior management
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the solar energy and storage industry
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business development targets and KPIs
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent negotiation and networking abilities
- Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, particularly solar energy and energy storage technologies
- Experience working in Cape Town or the South African market is a plus
