South Africa Embark Full time

Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic, execution-focused Community Manager to lead the go‑to‑market and community experience for an executive assistant staffing platform. This role sits at the intersection of product, community, and growth, building and nurturing a high‑trust ecosystem for both employers and top‑tier EA talent while actively driving adoption and engagement.

Core Mission

  • Own the community and product narrative for the platform, shaping how employers and executive assistants discover, understand, and experience the product.
  • Design and execute programs that attract, onboard, engage, and retain both sides of the marketplace, turning users into advocates.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Strategy & GTM

  • Develop and execute a community‑led go‑to‑market strategy for new features, services, and programs.
  • Define audience segments (employers vs EA professionals), messaging, and engagement journeys across channels.
  • Partner with product and marketing to turn community insights into positioning, campaigns, and launch plans.

Employer Community & Enablement

  • Build a high‑touch community experience for hiring managers and founders using the platform.
  • Facilitate their journey from first touchpoint to loyal users through onboarding, office hours, events, and ongoing education.
  • Gather feedback on hiring needs, process friction, and product gaps, and translate this into clear, actionable insights internally.

Talent Community & Experience

  • Own the community experience for executive assistants and candidates on the platform.
  • Design and run programs that help them succeed: application guidance, interview prep, best practices, events, and peer spaces.
  • Ensure the candidate side feels supported, informed, and valued throughout the pipeline and post‑placement.

Execution & Operations

  • Run day‑to‑day community operations across channels (Slack/Discord, email, social, live events, webinars).
  • Create and manage content (playbooks, FAQs, updates, spotlights) that support both employers and talent.
  • Track and report on key metrics: activation, engagement, retention, placement satisfaction, and community growth.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the community's voice in product, marketing, and sales discussions.
  • Work closely with sales to ensure a smooth handoff between community touchpoints and hiring workflows.
  • Collaborate with product to co-create features that serve both employers and EA professionals.

What You Bring

  • Experience in community management, customer success, or marketplace/gig/talent platforms (ideally in staffing, HR tech, or ops/EA space).
  • Comfort both strategizing (roadmaps, programs, funnels) and executing (running events, moderating, sending campaigns, building processes).
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to build trust with busy executives and high‑caliber assistants.
  • Data‑aware mindset with familiarity using KPIs and feedback to iterate on programs and community strategy.
