Customer Liaison Officer

A leading supplier of high-quality home interior products like, homeware, rugs, wallpaper and fabrics for the local and internation market in search of a Customer Liaison who will be based at their very busy and upmarket showroom in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 – 5 years' experience.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Act as main contact for customer complaints, queries and escalations
Assess and resolve any escalations
Work with other departments to resolve issues timeously
Able to answer customers questions on all products offered
Understand customer needs and continuously promoting products to new and existing customers
Updating product knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participation in the on-the-job training opportunities
Liaise with the warehouse department ensuring timeous deliveries of orders
Dealing with Sales Consultants regarding queries, requests, sales orders
Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth dispatch and collection
Support the management team
Customer Satisfaction & Claims Management:
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by efficiently handling product claims, credits, and returns in line with company policies.
Claims Investigation & Resolution:
Conduct thorough investigations into claims, documenting findings and ensuring timely resolution
Sales Team Support:
Provide proactive support to Sales Managers and Consultants, assisting with queries and complaints.
Query Resolution:
Address and resolve general customer and internal queries with professionalism and accuracy.
Administrative & Ad Hoc Tasks:
Perform general administrative duties and assist with ad hoc tasks as required to support team operations.
Education:
Matric / Grade 12
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Minimum 4 - 5 years' experience in a similar role in customer service
Knowledge of textiles/fabric industry
Proven customer support experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Afrikaans)
Professional and customer-focused
Problem solving skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Very good attention to detail
Exceptional Interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize & manage time effectively
