Job Summary

The role is for a
Technical Scrum Master / Agile Technical Lead
responsible for driving Agile delivery and providing technical leadership within a
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
environment. The position combines Scrum Master responsibilities with hands-on technical oversight, stakeholder management, and end-to-end project coordination to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Agile Leadership & Facilitation

  • Plan and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, etc.).
  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles, promoting continuous improvement and Agile values.
  • Participate in PI Planning and align delivery with product vision and roadmap.

2. Technical Delivery Management

  • Oversee iteration planning, execution, and release management.
  • Coordinate technical resources, manage dependencies, risks, and impediments.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality, documentation, and budget requirements.
  • Blend Agile and traditional project management methods where appropriate.

3. Technical Team Leadership

  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and enforce coding standards.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure technical excellence.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and stay updated on emerging technologies.

4. Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as key liaison with customers, ensuring needs and expectations are met.
  • Maintain transparent communication and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and build long-term collaborative relationships.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong command of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and SAFe principles.
  • Technical acumen in software development and system architecture.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder and customer relationship management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years in software development or technical delivery roles.
  • 5+ years leading technical teams/projects, ideally in a SAFe environment.
  • 3+ years facilitating Agile teams using Scrum.
  • Certifications preferred:
    SAFe Agilist / SASM / SSM
