About Us

The Sewing Café is a social enterprise and NPC that combines QCTO-accredited skills training with professional Cut-Make-Trim manufacturing. Since 2013, we've trained over 300 people from previously disadvantaged communities while running a successful commercial production operation. As a Level 1 B-BBEE supplier, we partner with corporates and organizations who value quality, social impact, and local manufacturing.

The Role

We're looking for a dynamic Sales & Marketing Coordinator who can help us grow our manufacturing business while telling our impact story, driving both sales growth and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Client Management

: Generate leads, prepare quotes, manage client relationships from inquiry to delivery, and achieve 30% order growth targets
- Marketing & Brand Building

: Develop and execute marketing campaigns, create compelling content that showcases our capabilities and impact
- Social Media

: Manage our social media presence, sharing our story, showcasing our work, and engaging with current and potential clients
- Business Development

: Identify and pursue new corporate clients, particularly those seeking B-BBEE suppliers and ethical manufacturing partners
- Stakeholder Communication

: Liaise with clients, respond to inquiries, manage expectations, and ensure excellent customer service

What We're Looking For

  • 2-4 years' experience in sales and marketing, preferably in manufacturing, fashion, or social enterprise sectors
  • Strong digital marketing skills including social media management
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with B2B sales and client relationship management
  • Self-starter who can work independently and take initiative
  • Passion for social impact and empowerment
  • Ability to prepare professional quotes and proposals
  • Understanding of the Cape Town business landscape (advantageous)
