Description

This position reports to the Senior Manager: Seed. The department is seeking a reliable, responsible Administrative Assistant. This position requires a methodical, structured individual who is team- and service-oriented, with a proactive, strong sense of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

The main duties of the suitable candidate will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Day-to-day administrative support to the Seed team.
  • Inventory administration, invoicing control, and price updates.
  • Calculation and processing of seed and financing rebates.
  • Handling of branch transfers and logistical coordination.
  • Reconciliation of seed prices and interdepartmental transactions.
  • Inputting and confirming seed orders on the Seed platform.
  • Control of operational invoices and cost allocations.
  • Basic inquiries and communication with departments regarding stock levels.

Requirements

  • A Matric (Grade 12) certificate and/ or an NQF 4 qualification
  • An administrative or financial qualification will be an advantage
  • An accounting background to interpret statements and do reconciliations
  • Good computer skills (MS Office) with experience in SAP and Qlik is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
