NAIA is an interior design atelier specialising in refined, timeless spaces across residential and hospitality projects.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team ideally based in Cape Town or in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of studio experience, strong technical and creative skills, and proficiency in SketchUp, V-Ray, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite. Responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing drawings and presentations, sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and assisting with project management and documentation. We're looking for someone who is organised, collaborative, and passionate about design. A qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture and reliable transport are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of design concepts and mood boards
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and documentation
  • Create design presentations and support project delivery
  • Source materials, samples, and finishes for ongoing projects
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and clients
  • Maintain project files and ensure accurate documentation
  • Attend client meetings and site visits as required
  • Support the team in project management and admin tasks

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Minimum 2–5 years of studio experience
  • Proficiency in SketchUp, V-Ray, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and detailing
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's licence or reliable transport

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in high-end residential or hospitality design
  • Strong rendering and 3D visualisation skills
  • Knowledge of procurement and supplier coordination
