Job Advert Summary

Feltex is seeking an experienced IT Senior ERP Operator to provide support and ensure the availability of the core ERP systems. The successful incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of staff specialised in ERP/LX applications support, ensuring seamless operation and user satisfaction.

This role plays a key part in supporting operational excellence by managing system performance, coordinating issue resolution, optimising support processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the ERP environment. The IT Senior ERP Operator will also serve as a key point of contact between the ERP support team, users, and management, foster a culture of teamwork and accountability, and ensure all ERP support practices align with organisational objectives and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • National Certificate: Information Technology: End User Computing
  • National Certificate: Information Technology: Systems Support
  • National Certificate: Information Technology: Technical Support
Duties & Responsibilities

Desktop (Hardware & Software) Support:

  • Resolve IT Desktop System user's problems during extended support hours

ERP System Support:

  • Resolve IT ERP Hardware user's problems
  • Operate an enterprise server computer system

Data availability:

  • Back-up system data to ensure live history availability
  • Participate in BCP and DR tests

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement drives

Administration:

  • Conduct general IT administration (Filing, records, etc.)
  • Perform 16/6 Helpdesk support
  • Manage the 16/6 support team, including the schedule for staff shifts
  • Operate jobs on the iSeries as directed by the Information Technology Manager
  • Provide Syspro batch job operation and support of daily tasks
