Are you an experienced Family Law Attorney looking to broaden your expertise and take the next step in your legal career?
 
Our national client has recently expanded into Cape Town and is seeking a dedicated, passionate Family Law Attorney to join their growing team.
 
Your background in a large law firm or a specialised family law practice, combined with strong psychological insight and genuine empathy, will be key to navigating complex and sensitive family matters with care and professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant legal degree with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Solid experience gained within a law firm, including legal research and investigative work
  • Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements and documents
  • Proven track record of success in a legal advisory or practitioner role
  • Strong expertise in conducting detailed legal research on complex matters
  • Demonstrated experience representing organisations in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediations
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across departments and teams
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and maintain legal documentation and records
  • In-depth understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the role
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
DUTIES
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex legal documents, contracts, and agreements
  • Provide strategic legal advice and support to management and internal departments
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to inform business decisions and ensure legal compliance
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, including court cases, negotiations, and mediations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor legal policies and compliance frameworks
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and regulations, advising on their impact to the business
  • Conduct legal risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Supervise and mentor junior legal staff, offering guidance and oversight where required
  • Respond promptly to legal queries from various departments across the organisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the legal aspects of business projects and initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and organised legal documentation and records
  • Participate in ongoing legal training and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
